FAQ
Some frequently asked questions about COD oil delivery include:
What is the minimum delivery of discount COD oil?
If you have a furnace, a boiler, or another type of heating system, proper maintenance can keep your equipment running efficiently all winter long and lessen the likelihood of expensive surprise repairs.
We suggest an annual tuneup by one of our licensed technicians where we will check all aspects of your heating system, including electrical connections, voltage and current, fan belt, oil or gas connections (if applicable), and condensate drain. We will also test the ignition, the exhaust system, system controls, and carbon monoxide levels (if applicable). We will make minor adjustments when necessary and inform you of any problems that will need to be addressed to keep your system operating safely and effectively.
When will I receive my delivery?
When you place your order, you will be given an estimated delivery date, typically within 48-72 hours, under normal weather and operational conditions. This date may change in the event of inclement weather or other issues beyond our control.
What does “normal weather and operational conditions” mean?
Normal weather and operational conditions assume that roads are passable and your home is accessible, and travel isn’t disrupted because of snow, ice, or other extreme weather conditions. Deliveries may also be delayed because of equipment issues, labor shortages, or supply chain disruptions. It is a rare occurrence, but if your order will be delayed due to inclement weather or other causes, we will attempt to notify you as soon as possible.
Do I need to be home when my delivery is made?
If your driver has access to your fuel tank, you don’t need to be home at the time of delivery. New customers in some areas may need to be present for a brief inspection of their equipment prior to fulfilling the first delivery. If this is necessary, we will inform you well in advance. In rare cases, you may need to be home if your system needs to be primed before the tank can be filled.
What is a Prime?
When your tank is nearly or completely empty, we will need to prime your system by bleeding out any debris or air that may have entered your fuel lines. This allows your system to continue operating safely and efficiently.
Why can’t I cancel my order?
Order cancellations are a safety issue, especially if your order is already out for delivery. If a driver tries to fill a tank that has already been serviced by another company, it can result in an oil spill on your property.
Why did I not receive all the gallons I ordered?
Heating oil tanks may not be able to hold their entire stated capacity because there is a difference between the actual capacity and the usable capacity. Be assured that we will fill your tank to the maximum usable capacity, and you will be refunded or credited for any oil you ordered that does not fit in your tank.
What can I do if I am out of oil and have no heat?
If you have run out of oil, place an order as soon as possible, and let us know you need expedited service. We will make every effort to prioritize your delivery.
How can I pay for my order?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit or debit cards. We also accept cash, but please pay with the exact amount as drivers cannot make change. Any overage will be credited to your account for future deliveries.
When will I be charged for my delivery?
You will be charged when your order is placed. If you order a specific amount, that is how much you will be charged for, and if you order a “fill,” you will be charged for the full capacity of your tank. If your order ends up exceeding your tank’s capacity, your card will be credited for the unused amount.
What happens if the price goes up before I receive my delivery?
You will be charged for the rate that was guaranteed at the time you placed the order. Even if the price increases after your order is placed, your delivery cost will not increase.
